Dark circles home remedies: what helps and what doesn't

Some home remedies for dark circles can make tired eyes look fresher for a few hours, mostly by cooling and calming puffiness. None of them change pigmentation or genetic dark circles. Here is what is worth trying, what to avoid, and what works better long term.

Worth trying

  • Cold compress or chilled spoon: 5 to 10 minutes in the morning helps puffiness look calmer.
  • Chilled cucumber slices: mostly a cooling effect; pleasant and safe.
  • Cold, used tea bags (green or black): cooling and soothing for puffy eyes. Make sure they are clean and not hot.
  • Gentle massage: light tapping from the inner corner outwards.

Better to avoid

  • Lemon or tomato juice: acidic and can sting and irritate thin under-eye skin.
  • Coffee grounds and grainy scrubs: scratch the skin; rubbing can make pigmentation darker.
  • Toothpaste or baking soda: irritating and drying.
  • Raw potato rubbed hard: the rubbing is the problem; if you use it, just rest a cool slice.

What works better long term

  1. Sleep and hydration: the biggest free fix for tired-looking eyes.
  2. Nightly under-eye serum: Jaago Coffee Dark Circle Serum hydrates and helps the area look brighter and less puffy with regular use.
  3. Sunscreen: Sheer Defence SPF 60 around the eyes every morning so pigmentation doesn't get darker.
  4. Stop rubbing your eyes and treat allergies.

Roman Urdu

Kheera, thanda chamach aur thande tea bags sujan kam karne mein thodi der madad karte hain. Lemon, tamatar, toothpaste aur coffee powder aankhon ke neeche na lagayein. Behtar hai raat ko Jaago serum aur subah sunscreen lagayein aur neend poori karein.
