How to shave your legs without getting strawberry legs
Share
Most strawberry legs start with how you shave. A sharp razor, a slick lather, shaving in the direction of hair growth and regular exfoliation between shaves prevent most dark dots and ingrown hairs.
Before you shave
- Shave at the end of a warm shower, when hair and skin are soft.
- Exfoliate between shaves, not right before. A 5% glycolic acid toner 2 to 3 nights a week keeps dead skin from trapping hairs.
While shaving
- Use a clean, sharp razor; replace blades often.
- Use shaving gel or a thick soap lather; never shave dry.
- Shave in the direction of hair growth with light pressure.
- Rinse the blade often.
After shaving
- Rinse with cool water and pat dry.
- Apply a gentle, fragrance-free body lotion.
- Wait 24 to 48 hours before using glycolic acid again.
- Wear loose clothes for the rest of the day if you get irritated easily.
Between shaves
Spray the glycolic toner on clean, dry legs at night, 2 to 3 times a week, then moisturise. It loosens dead skin around the follicles so hairs grow out freely and dots look lighter over 3 to 6 weeks.
Roman Urdu
Tez razor, foam ya gel ke saath, baalon ki simt mein shave karein aur kabhi khushk shave na karein. Shave ke baad lotion lagayein, aur 1 se 2 din baad raat ko glycolic toner spray karein.
