Niacinamide for open pores: how it works and how to use it
Share
Niacinamide (vitamin B3) is the most popular ingredient for open pores because it helps balance oil, smooth texture and support the skin barrier, which all make pores look smaller. It is gentle enough to use twice a day.
How niacinamide helps pores
- Balances oil: less shine means less visible pores.
- Smooths texture: skin looks more even and refined.
- Supports the barrier: healthier skin holds moisture better.
Why 10% with zinc?
10% is a popular strength for oily skin and visible pores. Zinc is commonly paired with niacinamide for shine control. Our niacinamide pore minimizing serum, the Pore Minimizer Serum, has 10% niacinamide, 1% zinc and hyaluronic acid, plus witch hazel, willow bark, licorice root, green tea and aloe vera.
How to use
- Cleanse.
- Apply 2 to 3 drops, morning and night.
- Moisturise; sunscreen in the morning.
Pairing
- With vitamin C: vitamin C in the morning, niacinamide at night, or both with a gap.
- With salicylic acid: niacinamide daily, salicylic acid on alternate nights.
Results
Less shine in 1 to 2 weeks; smaller-looking pores in 6 to 8 weeks.
Roman Urdu
