Open pores on cheeks: why they happen and what helps

Pores on the cheeks often look oval or slightly dented rather than oily. They are usually linked to sun damage, loss of firmness, dehydration or old acne, so the care is a little different from nose pores.

Common causes

  • Sun exposure weakening the skin around pores
  • Dehydrated skin that looks less plump
  • Past acne that stretched the pores
  • Natural loss of firmness with age

What helps

  1. Morning: a pore minimizing face serum such as our Pore Minimizer Serum (10% niacinamide with hyaluronic acid), moisturiser, then sunscreen.
  2. Night: Pore Minimizer Serum again. On 2 nights a week, the 5% Glycolic Acid Toner to smooth texture.
  3. Keep skin hydrated with a moisturiser every day.

Results

Smoother, plumper-looking cheeks in 2 to 4 weeks; pores look smaller after 6 to 8 weeks. Deep, dented pores from old acne may need a dermatologist's treatment.

Roman Urdu

Gaalon ke pores aksar dhoop, khushki aur purane acne se bade lagte hain. Subah aur raat Pore Minimizer Serum, hafte mein 2 raatein glycolic toner, aur roz sunscreen lagayein.
